I posted this on http://americac2c.com today, it caused quite a stir with over 300 views and fired up Ron Paul supporters.

My issue with Ron Paul is that his National Defense and Foreign Policies are reckless and extremely dangerous. Addtionally some of the extremist views are out of line with the Republican Party but then again he is not a Republican, he is a Libertarian and if he is a "True Conservative" as the Paul Zealots always say then he should be genuine enough to run as a Libertarian, or is he a Neo-Liberal? Read this and you decide.

This was passed along in an email, I don't know the originator but they deserve credit for this clever story. I only hope that this does not come true but given the current course this country is heading this may very well be the case:

"Winston, come into the dining room, it's time to eat," Julia yelled
to her husband. "In a minute, honey, it's a tie score," he answered.
Actually Winston wasn't very interested in the traditional holiday
football game between Detroit and Washington .

   Ever since the government passed the Civility in Sports Statute of
2011, outlawing tackle football for its "unseemly violence" and the
"bad example it sets for the rest of the world," Winston was far
less of a football fan than he used to be. Two-hand touch wasn't
nearly as exciting.

   Yet it wasn't the game that Winston was uninterested in. It was
more the thought of eating another TofuTurkey. Even though it was
the best type of VeggieMeat available after the government revised
the American Anti-Obesity Act of 2011, adding fowl to the list of
federally-forbidden foods, (which already included potatoes,
cranberry sauce and mince-meat pie), it wasn't anything like real
turkey. And ever since the government officially changed the name
of "Thanksgiving Day" to "A National Day of Atonement" in 2020 to
officially acknowledge the Pilgrims' historically brutal treatment
of Native Americans, the holiday had lost a lot of its luster.

   Eating in the dining room was also a bit daunting. The unearthly
gleam of government-mandated fluorescent light bulbs made the
TofuTurkey look even weirder than it actually was, and the room was
always cold. Ever since Congress passed the Power Conservation Act
of 2016, mandating all thermostats-which were monitored and
controlled by the electric company-be kept at 68 degrees, every
room on the north side of the house was barely tolerable throughout
the entire winter.

   Still, it was good getting together with family. Or at least most
of the family. Winston missed his mother, who passed on in October,
when she had used up her legal allotment of live-saving medical
treatment. He had had many heated conversations with the Regional
Health Consortium, spawned when the private insurance market
finally went bankrupt, and everyone was forced into the government
health care program. And though he demanded she be kept on her
treatment, it was a futile effort. "The RHC's resources are
limited," explained the government bureaucrat Winston spoke with on
the phone. "Your mother received all the benefits to which she was
entitled. I'm sorry for your loss."

   Ed couldn't make it either. He had forgotten to plug in his
electric car last night, the only kind available after the
Anti-Fossil Fuel Bill of 2012 outlawed the use of the combustion
engines-for everyone but government officials. The fifty mile round
trip was about ten miles too far, and Ed didn't want to spend a
frosty night on the road somewhere between here and there.

   Thankfully, Winston's brother, John, and his wife were flying in.
Winston made sure that the dining room chairs had extra cushions
for the occasion. No one complained more than John about the pain
of sitting down so soon after the government-mandated cavity
searches at airports, which severely aggravated his hemorrhoids.
Ever since a terrorist successfully smuggled a cavity bomb onto a
jetliner, the TSA told Americans the added "inconvenience" was an
"absolute necessity" in order to stay "one step ahead of the
terrorists." Winston's own body had grown accustomed to such
probing ever since the government expanded their scope to just
about anywhere a crowd gathered, via Anti-Profiling Act of 2022.
That law made it a crime to single out any group or individual for
"unequal scrutiny," even when probable cause was involved. Thus,
cavity searches at malls, train stations, bus depots, etc., etc.,
had become almost routine. Almost.

The Supreme Court is reviewing the statute, but most Americans
expect a Court composed of six progressives and three
conservatives to leave the law intact. "A living Constitution is
extremely flexible," said the Court's eldest member, Elena Kagan.
" Europe has had laws like this one for years. We should learn
from their example," she added.

Winston's thoughts turned to his own children. He got along fairly
well with his 12-year-old daughter, Brittany, mostly because she
ignored him. Winston had long ago surrendered to the idea that she
could text anyone at any time, even during Atonement Dinner. Their
only real confrontation had occurred when he limited her to 50,000
texts a month, explaining that was all he could afford. She whined
for a week, but got over it.

His 16-year-old son, Jason, was another matter altogether. Perhaps
it was the constant bombarding he got in public school that global
warming, the bird flu, terrorism or any of a number of other
calamities were "just around the corner," but Jason had developed
a kind of nihilistic attitude that ranged between simmering
surliness and outright hostility. It didn't help that Jason had
reported his father to the police for smoking a cigarette in the
house, an act made criminal by the Smoking Control Statute of
2012, which outlawed smoking anywhere within 500 feet of another
human being. Winston paid the $5,000 fine, which might have been
considered excessive before the American dollar became virtually
worthless as a result of QE13. The latest round of quantitative
easing the federal government initiated was, once again, to "spur
economic growth." This time they promised to push unemployment
below its years-long rate of 18%, but Winston was not particularly
hopeful.

Yet the family had a lot for which to be thankful, Winston
thought, before remembering it was a Day of Atonement. At least he
had his memories. He felt a twinge of sadness when he realized his
children would never know what life was like in the Good Old Days,
long before government promises to make life "fair for everyone"
realized their full potential. Winston, like so many of his fellow
Americans, never realized how much things could change when they
didn't happen all at once, but little by little, so people could
get used to them.

   He wondered what might have happened if the public had stood up
while there was still time, maybe back around 2010, when all the
real nonsense began. "Maybe we wouldn't be where we are today if
we'd just said 'enough is enough' when we had the chance," he
thought.

Maybe so, Winston. Maybe so.

If you look at the values and the historical record, you will see that the Founding Fathers never intended guns to go unregulated, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer contended Sunday.

Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," Breyer said history stands with the dissenters in the court's decision to overturn a Washington, D.C., handgun ban in the 2008 case "D.C. v. Heller."

Breyer wrote the dissent and was joined by Justices John Paul Stevens, David H. Souter and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He said historians would side with him in the case because they have concluded that Founding Father James Madison was more worried that the Constitution may not be ratified than he was about granting individuals the right to bear arms.

Madison "was worried about opponents who would think Congress would call up state militias and nationalize them. 'That can't happen,' said Madison," said Breyer, adding that historians characterize Madison's priority as, "I've got to get this document ratified."

Therefore, Madison included the Second Amendment to appease the states, Breyer said.

"If you're interested in history, and in this one history was important, then I think you do have to pay attention to the story," Breyer said. "If that was his motive historically, the dissenters were right. And I think more of the historians were with us."

That being the case, and particularly since the Founding Fathers did not foresee how modern day would change individual behavior, government bodies can impose regulations on guns, Breyer concluded.

In July 2008, the concurring opinion in "D.C. v. Heller" written by Justice Antonin Scalia and shared by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. found that the district's ban on handgun possession at home "violates the Second Amendment, as does its prohibition against rendering any lawful firearm in the home operable for the purpose of immediate self-defense."

The ruling raised concerns by dissenters like Breyer that gun laws nationwide would be thrown out. That has not happened yet.

Breyer, who just published "Making Our Democracy Work," a book about the role of the court in American life, outlined his judicial philosophy as one in which the court must take a pragmatic approach in which it "should regard the Constitution as containing unwavering values that must be applied flexibly to ever-changing circumstances."

Since the Founding Fathers could not foresee the impact of modern day communications and technology, the only option is to take the values of the Founding Fathers and apply them to today's challenges.

"The difficult job in open cases where there is no clear answer is to take those values in this document, which all Americans hold, which do not change, and to apply them to a world that is ever changing," Breyer said. "It's not a matter of policy. It is a matter of what those framers intended."

He suggested that those values and intentions mean that the Second Amendment allows for restrictions on the individual, including an all-out ban on handguns in the nation's capital.

"We're acting as judges. If we're going to decide everything on the basis of history -- by the way, what is the scope of the right to keep and bear arms? Machine guns? Torpedoes? Handguns?" he asked. "Are you a sportsman? Do you like to shoot pistols at targets? Well, get on the subway and go to Maryland. There is no problem, I don't think, for anyone who really wants to have a gun."

My Comment:

"Breyer is just trying to rationalize his personal conviction to those of us who strongly support the second amendment. He somehow has twisted Madison's concern as all the founding fathers concern and what is written is not what they intended. Somehow he must have read Madison's mind and sat in the chambers as the constitution was being framed. It is what it is and I'm sick of Justices trying (sometimes successfully) to re-write the constitution from the bench. I'm sure if James Madison were alive today he would be surprised and perhaps sickened by judicial decisions made in our time. The United States constitution is one of the most carefully constructed documents in history as it is near perfect. However leave it to lawyers to pick it apart. Our current President has been quoted saying the "constitution is fundamentally flawed." Columbia or Harvard professors must have convinced him of that because they don't believe we deserve all the freedoms protected by the constitution. That somehow government needs to be more involved in individual lives because we are too stupid for our own good. If we are so be it, at worst we are stupid and free!
We already have restrictions and enforcement is the key. The challenge is restricting guns from those who are a danger to themselves and others without infringing on the rights of those who are legal and of sound mind."

OBAMA'S COLLEGE CLASSMATE SPEAKS OUT

Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is
brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming
the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social
chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.

Barack Obama is my college classmate ( Columbia University , class of '83).
As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan
of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University . They outlined
a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government
spending and entitlement demands.

Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a
whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States
into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately
needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for
bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with
health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital
and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents
(who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care that giving
free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national
debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30
million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist
revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a
depression?

Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with
health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has
everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the
economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those
powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC
and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They
will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and
the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new
taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama
"spread the wealth around."

Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's
asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement
addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But
this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat
senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters
who are dependent on big government.

Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million
potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and
bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who
can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion
dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical,
education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat
contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of
dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country.
It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying
union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after
giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion
went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public
employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and
pensions that are bankrupting America . The country goes broke, future
generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government,
and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.

Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job
creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers,
redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to
deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes
in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes
to starve his political opposition.

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and
rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast
privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a
government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as
socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my
Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama using the Cloward and
Piven Plan.

Canadians: “Build a Damn Fence!"
The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has
intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the
illegal immigration. The recent actions of the Tea Party are prompting an exodus
among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and
to agree with Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck.

Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology
professors, animal-rights activists and Unitarians crossing their fields at
night. "I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood
producer huddled in the barn," said Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose
acreage borders North Dakota. The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. He
asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken.

When I said I didn't have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him
my screenplay, eh?”

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but
the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush
Limbaugh across the fields.

"Not real effective," he said. "The liberals still got through and Rush
annoyed the cows so much that they wouldn't give any milk.”

Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near
the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons and drive them across
the border where they are simply left to fend for themselves." A lot of these
people are not prepared for our rugged conditions," an Ontario border patrolman
said. "I found one carload without a single bottle of imported drinking water.
They did have a nice little Napa Valley Cabernet, though."

When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing
loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been
circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals
will be forced to drink domestic beer and watch NASCAR races.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the
border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy
cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in
powdered wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses
and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney
to prove that they were alive in the '50s. "If they can't identify the accordion
player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age" an
official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating
an organic-broccoli shortage and are renting all the Michael Moore movies. "I
really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't
support them." an Ottawa resident said. "How many art-history majors does one
country need?"

Oregon 1st Congressional District Debate between incumbent David Wu (D) and Rob Cornilles (R)

Mr. Cornilles did a great job in this debate against the Democrat Establishment incumbent David Wu. Keep in mind this debate is held at one of the most liberal campuses in the world. You can't see the audience but you can hear the responses to Rob Cornilles, he gets applause, laughs, and cheers, Wu got jeers and he bumbles and stumbles.
In one point that I wish Rob could have directly rebutted was Wu's opening remarks about how we all can be "Middle Class". I take exception to this because I believe we all have the right to reach whatever income we work to have by our choice. If someone wants to be middle class that's fine, it's their choice. Wu makes is clear that he has no belief in the American Dream but he seems to think we should relish in the Euro-socialist unsustainable train wreck system that pacifies the lazy, uninspired and wasted have equal economic status as people with a work ethic and are penalized for it.

This race is winnable, the Democrats will throw tons of money to keep the establishment intact but we have an opportunity to right the ship and throw out the bums that got us in this mess. We need to donate, campaign and most importantly vote and get others to vote!

More Chatter about the Tea Party Being Compared To Whacko Animal Rights Group

It is driving liberals crazy as they don't get that there is an grass roots effort in this country that isn't a progressive movement. They want so badly to believe that there is corporate sponsoship or politcal party financial backing that is creating the fire. The fact is Obama, Pelosi and Reid unknowingly created the Tea Party, something I'm sure they don't want to take credit for.

A couple weeks ago I responded to an Editorial from the Daily Astorian comparing the Tea Party as the same kind of extremeism as a local animal rights group that commited arson at a local closed mink farm.

How dare the editor equate the Tea Party with some crazy group like the Animal Liberation Front ("Arson, anyone," The Daily Astorian, Aug. 2).

If he didn't know this, please be aware that President Obama's czar, Cass Sunstein, is the one who equates animals with people, trying to give them all the rights people have.

I love animals, giving money and my time to various animal groups, but not to the ones that destroy and hurt others. The Tea Party has nothing to do with this kind of behavior.

I think there is some question as to exactly who owns the so-called "Tea Party" and exactly who it aligns itself with.

One perception of the "Tea Party" is that it is simply a "Pissed-off Libertarian Party trying to gain a little ground, others say it is a faction of "The Republican Party", others say its made up of all parties with the GOP being the predominent element.

Which one do you belong to Ms. Taylor?

Re: Mcgee.It is not about any political party. Yes there are libertarians who are getting more exposure to their platform. There are many Republicans who are concerned about the sharply increasing approach to socialism since 2008 and are angry at the congress that spends with reckless abandon, money that doesn't even exist so they are stealing it from our children and our children's children. Guess what? There are plenty of Democrats too that feel their party has gone too far left and Independents fearing the loss of freedoms and the American dream. What critics don't understand is that we are all coming together in preservation of our founding fathers intentions and the brilliant Constitution of the United States.

It is not a political party nor is it affiliated with any one party. We will expose the wasteful perpetrators regardless of what political party they say they belong to.

Somehow Animal Rights Arson Activists are the equivalent to Tea-Partiers?
This is another blatant attempt of the Left Press trying to demonize Americans who like America, the Constitution and Freedom. Mr. Forrester, if you think the values this country were founded on are incorrect then move to Europe, I think you will be happier there. I am a hard working patriot who has spent my life defending the foundation of the greatest country on earth and keep it a free capitalist society, free from socialist government manipulation of the American Dream. I, like my fellow concerned Americans, many of whom have never waived a sign in protest in their life until 2009, are not domestic terrorists. So while you bloviate your mis-truths about many of your customers your claim of being in the middle is way off to the left. You actually need to talk to your customer base before you compare them to terrorists.
As a journalist, where are the facts to your comparisons?
Health care is an issue, we agree, but government isn't the answer, particularly when you have to steal your grandchild's future to fund it. What are they supposed to have when they mature?
We are not opposed to immigration, we are all immigrants. We oppose unsecured borders that are a threat to National Security and allow illegal immigration. You see illegal is not an gray area. you either are or you are not. We oppose giving more rights, spending billions to people here illegally than legal citizens. And I don't really believe the left cares more about Illegal immigrants, they are just more concerned in buying future voters because "Middle" America is leaving the left.
So these views, however you feel about them, are hardly terrorist acts. They are the thoughts of millions of American Patriots like me.

Democrat Plot to Regain Lost Votes After Health Care Reform

So the Democrats got their victory and the era of government controlled healthcare is upon us. So why would the Democrats sacrifice so many possible losses in the house and senate to get legislation that more of their constituents disapprove of then approve? Well I believe Rahm (it down their throats) Emmanuel and Obama have calculated some strategies to help out in the November elections.

Most that know me would see my cynical side but also I always have an “All is not lost” attitude when the chips are down. That being said I feel that there is more to this story and I hate to add more negativity in the dark era of American freedom.

So what is this conniving strategy that these evil doers have up their sleeve? In the week just before all the backroom dealing and final vote there was another conversation beginning to be heard about what is next. Under the guise of “Immigration Reform” is the real strategy called amnesty. I believe that cramming, rushing or expediting amnesty legislation will put millions of illegal immigrants on the voting roles that will be compelled to thank their sudden supporting legislators by voting for them. I don’t think this is a farfetched strategy and I believe Congress is already working on it. This shouldn’t be a surprise because this administration is all about duping people and then paying them off. That is Chicago politics brought to D.C. just like the “Stimulus” plan was a payoff to the labor unions and how the votes for health care reform bill were bought.

One of the main alertest to the immigration issues is Americans for Legal Immigration or ALIPAC. William Gheen, President of ALIPAC is relentless in their efforts to battle anything that smells of amnesty and I recommend following him and his group on Facebook, twitter and their website, http://www.alipac.us. It took me a long time to face reality that an amnesty program is not the best way to handle our illegal immigration problem. Realizing the billions of your dollars are spent in entitlement programs in addition to special privileges often afforded to illegal’s that legal citizens do not get I have since changed my opinion. I want the freedom for immigration but I want it done legally just like my Grandfather and Great Grandfather did. But the legislators are not going to push amnesty because they care; they are doing it because they want their votes in exchange for the immediate gift of amnesty.

What other devious tricks do the tricksters have brewing? Perhaps legalizing felons onto the voter rolls? Please share your thoughts on this, I’m very interested in hearing other underhanded ways the Democrats are going to try and gain back lost voters. Let’s keep others informed of the dirty tricks that are being played on the citizens of our country.

What State do I Live In? The Union owned Socialist State of Oregon

I have always known Oregon to really kooky when it comes to politics but after today's vote, for the first time in my life I can honestly be ashamed of where I was born, raised and lived most of my life. I have always loved this state for it's diverse ecology, scenery and mostly friendly people. Are Oregonians really this illiterate? Do they honestly believe that measures 66 and 67 are only a penalty against the affluent and corporations? I cannot believe these bills passed in these times or any other time.

The State seal says "The Union". Well it is very true because "The Union" is what bought our state government. "The Union" is what bought the election. "The Union" is what brainwashed our people and "The Union" is what ruined Oregon's economy for now and for the future. I fear we will never recover from these tax measures but what I really fear is the fact that the people of Oregon are willing to accept the fact that only Denmark exceeds Oregon in taxation in the entire world and they are okay with that.

Oregon has only one Fortune 500 Company headquarter in the state, Nike. Yet I think the progressive Oregonians and Public Employees union honestly believe they are taking advantage of the evil corporations and the rich but how long is it before there are neither in this state. Heck, even California can overwhelmingly defeat a tax bill but not Oregon!

Oregon is now officially the socialist capitol of the U.S.

How ironic is it that the 2nd American Revolution will start in the state that the original revolution started. We’ve had (and will continue to have) our Tea Parties and town hall rallies with great success but have seriously been downplayed by the elite media. However, they cannot ignore the impact of Scott Brown; a Republican in a 3:1 Democratic state winning the senate seat long held by Democrats. This is our Concord, this is our Lexington, and this is the shot heard around the world.
